Hi grim.
Thank you for your advices.
And your comments are very useful to me.
I have built 40cm diameter wheel already, and now I am building 80cm diameter wheel.
I do not insist my theory or design only with a cad or paper work. So I can sure of my design now.
Anyway after I finish my second wheel.
I will let you know about the result.
I decided to build bigger one because of the accuracy and power.
regards SK

: Hi SK

: Do you have anything built, or is it still on a computer or a paper?

: My advice to you- if you have an answer, build it physically and verify it.
: If you are slow at building it, and it takes you a year, say, then so what?

: Low on funds? Scrounge farm stores that sell farm implement parts, lumber yard scap piles,
: weights can be found cheaply enough.

: I bet I don't have $25 US in any of this.

: Materials? Bessler used wood, iron and lead. John Collins brought up in his last translation
: about lead weights, but that's why many posts ago I brought up his references to alchemical symbols.
: Saturn, Jupiter and Mars refer to lead, tin and iron. Iron for some parts, lead for weights and the
: combination of lead and tin makes solder, but it also makes babbitt metal, a bearing material that is
: still used to this day, from the coating of the rod bearing inserts in your car to the main bearings of
: large turbogenerators. Bear in mind those float on pressurized oil, not the babbitt itself, but it is still
: the bearings' base metal.

: Don't go by a computer design or a piece of paper. There are too many real-life variables that come out when you
: get your hands dirty.

: Best to you,

: grim
