Just to clarify - I'm not suggesting the pictures I've provided are revealing anything at all, they were simply to illustrate one way the Apologia image might be used if it is in fact a "decoder". If it is then the wheel picture it is intended to fit over might not even be in MT. However there are certain drawings in MT that it does fit (the proportions of the hub, the ring around the hub, and the rim match), others it doesn't. I'll keep searching and experimenting and see if I can spot anything important! You're right David, I probably am grasping at straws - you can expect more straw grasping until the mystery is solved! :)

: Hi. Sorry to sound negative, but I think you are grasping here. The drawing do not (to me) appear to be a perfect fit, and when SOME of the parts poke through I think it is a matter of coincidence. If you took any other configuration, say 45 or 50 even degree angles and lined them up I bet you would see something. However, over a year ago I noticed that the rim sizing of the apologia drawing was the same as another one of his drawings, I'll try and get on the web page I saw it and post details.
