: I must take exception to your calling his machine a scam.

Wow, this post was pretty strong... why would you take exception? Do you know him? Are you, Lurker, actually in fact techstuf? I wonder.

: You are calling it a scam simply because you do not believe that it can work.

I wouldn't call it a scam because he doesn't appear to be looking for money or anything... yet. His claim does sound very suspicious though, and he obviously lied about some things so... who knows... maybe it is a scam.

: You having never tested it for yourself, and so you do not know if it works or not.

I have. It doesn't work.

: You BELIEVE that it will not work based on your understanding of currently accepted theories of physics.

Uh oh... he's starting to yell... and he's starting to talk about "currently accepted theories of physics"... that's a bad sign...

: It is unfortunate that I must point out that our current understanding of physics is NOT complete, and that it cannot explain all observable phenomona.

That's a true statement, but it has nothing to do with techstuf's false claim.

: Having said all that, it is certainly possible that the machine does not work as calimed.

It's alot more than "possible"

: However, if this is so, then WHY did techstuff go to all the trouble of posting all the pictures and diagrams in the first place? You have not answered that question.

Nobody *asked* that question... and I can think of lots of reasons why he'd post them... however... the first one that comes to mind is "scam" and that may also be why Ovyyus used that particular word.

: He has nothing to gain.

How would *you* know what he has to gain?

: It is certainly possible that he is simply making an elaborate joke on everyone, but you must admit that is falls flat as a joke.

What makes you think it's a joke?

: It is also possible, of course, that it is a way of throwing people off the real path to perpetual motion by getting them to waste their time in unproductive activities. I tend to doubt this, however. If this was so, the machine would have been very complicated and difficult to understand, thus requiring large amounts of time to examin and build.

Here we go again... glowing red eyes shining dimly from the depths of the shadows...

My money is on Techstuf and Lurker being the same person :-)

Later!
Darren
