: Some people get a buzz out of making earth-shattering announcements - in the absence of some simple replies to some simple questions about his working device, Techstuff seems to belong to this group.

Well, I dare say most people like to make Earth shattering statements. Darren certainly seems to enjoy it, for example. :-)

: All he has to do is post a video clip of the device in action - that would cause a lot of the cynicism to take a back burner.

I would certainly like to see a vidio clip, but techstuff may not have the equipment or know-how to do that. I know I certainly would not be able to do it. Heck, I don't even know how to make a web-page! I do think the pictures that are provided give about as good an indication as a vidio would, though. You can clearly see an unballanced COG which should remain as the wheel turns.

: But claims, 'proven' bits of mathematics, animations, testimonials, drawings, messages from God, blueprints from LGM etc WITHOUT some kind of verifiable evidence, will only heighten disbelief...

Techstuff does speak of messages from God, etc, etc. That tends to turn me off, I will admit, but for me the SOURCE of an idea is not important. I see the idea itself as being the most important thing. The bottom line is that I think his idea is VERY intriguing, and he has certainly put a lot of work into building his machine and then making pictures and diagrams of it available so that others can build and test it too. That is far more than some people are willing to do, and I must give credit where credit is due.
