: "Absolutely right, it was a Working Model 2D sim. Don't like that as proof, that's cool, your perogative, but as far as I'm concerned it was more proof to me than all of techstuff's pictures and verbal claims put together."
: that clinches it for me, I am positive we will never see a working model from Darren.

Hey, you may be right there Mr. Grumpy... there are others working on designs as we speak... they may beat me to it... who knows :-)

: His virtual world is his master. This guy probably has a "virtual pool" program on his computer so he doesn't have to get up and go out and do it for real...

Hmmm... is there any truth to that? Let's see... I'm not too tan because I'm a corporate web developer and spend lots of time in front of a screen... I play with computer generated animations and Avid NLE systems for indie movies and short films so yes, I guess that's a virtual thing... and every now and then I play Warcraft III or mess around with a flight simulator so.. yup.. you're pretty close to the truth. I'm a big computer junkie and spend alot of time in front of some serious hardware... but... does that make me unable to deal with real life? Or does that mean I'm a formidable force when it comes to things like simulation software? Hmmm....

: and he is probably just as content that the so called, "real world" physics generator in the program won't let him do all sorts of trick shots that the best billiards players in the world are doing in real life all over the world.......so many looking for a hand out instead of getting hand's on.

You know, I actually agree with you... too many people watching nowadays instead of doing... but, in the world of engineering and mechanics there wouldn't be hundreds of large companies shelling out thousands of dollers per copy for software like WM2D unless it was "real" enough to prove prototypes (check out http://www.workingmodel.com/pricelist.html if you think I'm playing around here)

: If bessler were alive today under a different name and removed the oil cloth from his wheel and posted it on the net.......he too would be inundated by a deluge of whelps yapping their well worn yaps.......demanding this and that and making pie eyed accusation....while the quiet and grateful MAKE THEMSELVES content.

Whatever that means. I guess you're one of the quiet and graceful then, huh?

Darren
