scott,now that you have a jacobs ladder to study 4 your self may I point out the following. you must agree that its so very simple yet always leaves a high degree of "come again?" about it.more to the point place it in front of you and then try to explain it with pen and paper,as if you were introducing it to a friend via the post or the web.even though its in front of you,even though its so simple its frustratingly awkward to explain.Bessler gave us a page of toys suggesting that one or more MAY help.I took this to mean that BEssler was saying--something like this----rather than simply ---this-----
the design I sent you is exactly LIKE a jacobs ladder.the principle is the same but it is not a jacobs ladder,you couldnt build my design with a jacobs ladder but you would understand my design more clearly once you understood a JL.unfortunately because the design is so like a JL it suffers the same problems ,it is oh so simple.leaves an even higher degree of---come again?-----and it is even more impossible to get across in printYou ask 4 help and advise and i am only too willing but I just know that everyone else is going to struggle hopelessly whilst Im screaming----can you still not see?----
problem here is that I sent you that stuff on exactly this basis I assumed,stupidly, that it would all make as perfect a sense to you as it did to me and that you would if inclined put it on your site in a better way,in your own words so to speak.if I had known that it was to appear in my original form I would have at least made a more detailed attempt at explaining the jacobs ladder bit thats so difficult to grasp.
So....in terms of helping/hints/suggestions etc 4 now all I can say is everybody buy a JL and get thinking because my idea is just that and no more....PMs impossible isnt it so dont wait 4 me and my silly designs.in the meanwhile I shall if you can bear it scott rewrite the whole thing to the best of my abilities and when I return to Glastonbury enlist the help of a friend to post you the new stuff.I think then I may get a better response and be able to argue with you all on a more level playing field
and I will also include what I think is a very plausable explaination of how the swinging weight might well swing UP on the descending side
Keep thinking everyone, its hard work but it is ALL we have to do to crack it you know
