the drawing of the three weights on a shaft on the left looks interesting(note their is a large and a small one), any thoughts of what benefit(if any ) might arise if the link between two of the weights was a chain causing rotation?. I believe Bessler showed his weights to people wrapped in a cloth, the could feel the weight and that they were cylindrical but he wouldn't let them touch the ends, maybe cos the ends have toothed sprockets and that was 'a detail too far', or maybe they were hollow?
just some random thoughts.
Oh, and what is that pendulum thing in the drawings about?, it seems to do a half swing and exert an itermittent 'brake' effect on the wheel. Is it essential to all his wheels? is it tripping some mechanism internally?, if so i cant see how from the drawings as it seems to be solidly attached to a solid axle?
