I've been reading some industrial magnet manufacturing websites. Ceramics lose power after about 100 years. Extreme heat/cold and physical shock can also effect their magnetic field. Does the magnetic field get "used up" as it acts on something? Hmmm. Does gravity get "used up" as it acts on something? I don't really know. I think we would have to know more about what creates gravity and magnetism to answer that. But now that I think about it, it would seem that it does not get used up. It just is. Weird.
