Greetings,

This off-topic question may seem incredibly strange, but I know many of you can help me.

Perhaps you are familiar with the "Harry Potter" books or films. If so, you might remember that a flying golden "snitch" is pictured in the movies.

I have recently acquired a resin copy of the screen-used "snitch." It is a very small golden orb. That sprouts wings. And magically flies. Well, mine doesn't fly. At least not yet.

I am working with some CAD artists and laser etching folks to make some wings for my snitch, so all I need now is to learn how to make the thing levitate.

I've seen novelty items float in mid-air with a small base beneath them. Is there some way to make my snitch fly using a magnet system? Davis Landstrom? Anyone know what I need? I can re-cast my snitch with a magnet or metal inside, but I don't have the slightest clue concerning what I need or what I need to do.

If you could help, please e-mail me at SergeantTK1028||aol.com.

Oh, and some images of what this "snitch" looks like can be found at http://www.pressroom.com/~philips/harry_potter/harry_potter_gs_project.htm
