If you don't believe that the Bessler wheel worked, then why are you wasting your time trying to change OUR minds?
Anybody can find reasons to say that it is an 'impossibility'.
Most of the people that visit this board believe that it can be re-discovered. True, most of the ideas that we try (collectively and individually) don't work, but does that mean it's impossible?
NO!
Because we learn from our mistakes too. If something doesn't work, we figure out why not, and then try again. And eventually we WILL find out how the wheel worked.
I too, could claim it's impossible to figure out, just on the basis of hundreds of design sketches that didn't work. Does that mean it's impossible?
NO!
Because, as above, I learn what does and doesn't work, and that allows me to narrow it down to what WILL work.
Belief and persistence. It's a great combination.
Will you change our minds? I doubt it.
Will we change yours? Probably not.
And that's just as good a place as any to leave it....
