Backyard Gravity Science

A friend of mine named Donald Roth is working on a manuscript called Backyard Gravity Science. Among many other interesting things, it includes detailed descriptions of experiments measuring the weight of permanent magnets over the course of days, weeks, and months. He has consistently found that a magnet's weight fluctuates about 2% over the course of a day, following the sun.

If these experments are repeatable, it could have important consequences for our understanding of gravity and magnetism.

I have scanned some pages from Donald's manuscript, particularly those relating to the diurnal weight changes of magnets, the experimental setup, and the test results. Thanks, Donald, for sharing your work with us.
