Static balance non circular differential pulleys

https://youtu.be/yUw34IeZnIM Hi My last post was a bit random, didn’t mean to offend anyone, I know we all need each other, and I do appreciate all levels of contribution, thanks one and all. Someone will solve this eventually. In reference to the youtube link. Static balance using non circular diff...

Re: We All Need to Face Up to the Limits of OB torque

whatzonstrat Hi, I have been following, or trying to follow ( with my limited knowledge of maths etc. ) the recent posts about using CF and sudden stops, as the driving force for a wheel. Some conclusions have been drawn about using weights and gravity alone being futile in our wheel quest, and all ...

getting over the top part 2

I tried a more elaborate system see fig..7&8.  There is a pendulum with a weight on a bearing concentric with the wheel centre, but mounted separate from the wheel. The pendulum is held in a latch A which is on a bracket mounted off the wheel fig.7.  As the wheel rotates a latch B mounted on t...

Getting over the top part 1

Getting a single weight over the top.  We’re all familiar with the single weight on the rim of the wheel, ( weight W ) as per  fig.1 when let fall from 12-00 will go around and stop somewhere after 11-00 as per fig.2 .    So how to give a small amount of additional torque to get the main weig...

Ken Behrendt 3 foot Gera wheel unfortunately a dead duck

About Ken Behrendt’s book. Unfortunately kens 3 foot Gera wheel  is a dead duck, no torque.  It may work on his computer screen but I have followed the construction details in the book and built the wheel, very accurately and no torque! A computer simulation is one thing , but a working model is...

3 foot Gera wheel build

I’ve been a member for years , this is my first post. Question- has anyone had a go at building the 3 foot Gera wheel as described in Ken Behrendt’s book. “ The triumphant Orfferean perpetual motion finally explained “. Downloaded the book recently , but haven’t seen any mention of it on t...
