What a disappointment that he can't just leave it alone and let it go. I don't believe it. Not one single full rotation. Anyone can do that by making one section of the wheel heavier.

.....can be simplified , if we experience TWO OPPOSITE ARMS...only!!!...the composite leverage of the "classic" wheel becoming a common lever(age) !!!
No fall ( motion under the influence of gravity ) ...no power.
.....or, more fall means more power !
Maybe, we " miss" the kinetic "ignition" of a a possible gravity. continuous unbalanced motion!?

Hi iacob alex,

I like this wording ignition, that exactly is happen in the Bi-directional wheel.

In the wheel the internal structure is constructed in that way, that it cannot recover from its ignition fall.
Best regards

.....at : https://youtu.be/Rgp6gcSaF2Y
can be a simplified "wheel" , with a single variable arm , as :
www.geocities.ws/iacob_alex/Some_Drafts/text028.JPG
So , let it be manifest a continuous gravity down fall ( "flow"...) between
two gravitational levels .
In the lowest position , we have a "self" shortage of the long arm into a short arm due to the gravity "free hanging" ...as Leo Ackermann acts...and we have an unrestricted 360* continuous accelerated motion (rotation ) , due to a torque difference on the same side of the lever's fulcrum.
We have a "datum" achievement , so to think about a "sole" problem : to remake the top point starting unbalance ( short arm into a long arm ...maybe as Leo...) and , let's hope the "self motion" as a reality?!
For Georg :
-"ignition" is the gravity torque unbalance in the top position
-"explosion" is in fact a gravity torque "expansion"(360* accelerated rotation ) of the unbalance...

Hi Al_ex,
as I have said, I have experimented a lot with such constructions.
But I have detected that this is not the correct way. No way.

You must have a construction which will repeat at least every 45 degrees.
Proved with math.

In Addition you need to do that action by gravity himself. like a Redirect of Forces.

exact what is necessary to break the symmetry.

.....can be simplified to the basics (the wheel , simply...as a lever), so to make more intelligible (and AVAILABLE ! especially...) the gravity unbalance...we can illustrate as something "alike" (two arms ,only ...and the size):
