jim_mich,
Were you able to convince him that his wheel couldn't work since it involved gravity?

I don't believe in conspiracies!

It's not the same Jim. You'll never meet him because he has nothing.

Hi,
I am new here and wanted to give you an update. Our family is friends with Clyde. We happened to be at his place last night and watched the exchange between him and Jim Rich on the computer.
As soon as Jim thought Clyde was finished giving him the design, Jim turned on Clyde like a rabid dog.
I now understand completely why Clyde chooses to remain anonymous.
One thing I noticed was Jim believes he knows everything about the Bessler translations but did not know about 6 different references in Besslers writings, according to the clues Clyde was explaining to him.
Clues Clyde was trying to show match the design were rejected because of conclusions Jim Rich has drawn. Based on some made up idea of what the words SHOULD say. And his conclusion that he knows what Bessler was thinking.
Another thing I noticed was Jim could not grasp that when you look at side of a wagon, look at the wheel, there are triangle shapes by using two spokes and the rim. Like a pie wedge. 8 spokes means 8 pie wedges and 8 triangles.
35 minutes it took for Jim to grasp this. This causes me to draw a conclusion on the intelligence level of Jim.
Then I saw last night where he came in here and did everything he could to crap on Clyde.
Again I understand why Clyde wants to remain anonymous.
Please don't ask me how anything works, I have no idea, nor do I care. I do know when we visit Clyde, he always points at this wheel that's turning then smiles and we go about our visit.
Have a nice day everyone.

I'm a friend of Tarsiers..... Oops, forgot to change sock puppet accounts.
Clyde. Why do you keep persisting with this site when you are so much more intelligent than us?

You ain't fooling anyone with this Clyde.

Just like you can't fool genetic diversity by making your sister wear a wig.
re: Consequences of releasing a working gravity engine.
About the cleverest thing he has done so far is making Bessler's portrate stick out his tounge on his profile page. As I said, very juvinile.

There is no "Jim_Rich" This is a term that Clyde has used. My handle is and always has been Jim_Mich. I am Jim from the state of Michigan.
Clyde wrote that the weights moved in and out on his "wagon wheel" Now Simple logic is they slid along the spokes. or the spokes were shaped such as to form a long slot, or the weights moved randomly within the triangle opening of normal spoke shapes. Clyde was initially not clear on this, and I had to "interrogate" him for the answer.
And on and on we went. When I tried to pin down any specific fact, He would go off in a tangent. Always vague answers. He claimed he got his wheel from Bessler's words. Something vague about "bells and a wagon wheel and horses". A lot lot gibberish.

The so called "clues" that Clyde wrote about are not found in Bessler's writings. I attempted to get Clyde to tell me where these clues came from. And it was obvious that Clyde didn't knowbluej wrote:Clues Clyde was trying to show match the design were rejected because of conclusions Jim Rich has drawn. Jim and Clyde wrote:Mr. Barrows: And it has bells and a wagon wheel and horses
Jim_Mich: Do you want every instance where Bessler mentions horse or horses?
Mr. Barrows: They are book peddlers is all, no wonder anyone with a wheel gets attacked.
Mr. Barrows: no I want to read any translation out there John Collins has deemed to be bad.
Mr. Barrows: I will find the one I read.
Mr. Barrows: Bessler told us everything
Jim_Mich: No
Jim_Mich: If Bessler told everyting then there would have been working PM wheels 300 years ago.
Mr. Barrows: Bessler told us everything. I read it and built it.
Mr. Barrows: 300 years ago the masses were mechanically ignorant and illiterate.
Mr. Barrows: your conclusion has no merit
Jim_Mich: But you don't YET have a functioning wheel capable of proving it to be perpetual motion.
Mr. Barrows: this is what I am finding, you dismiss things flippantly. then say it isnt there.
Jim_Mich: 300 years ago there were people just as smart as today.
Mr. Barrows: you are not very smart.
Jim_Mich: So say you. You don't really know me.
Mr. Barrows: the failure of the wheels are structural failures, they run, then a piece breaks.
And on and on we went. When I tried to pin down any specific fact, He would go off in a tangent. Always vague answers. He claimed he got his wheel from Bessler's words. Something vague about "bells and a wagon wheel and horses". A lot lot gibberish.

I have a Bessler's Books directory set up in my desktop computer, which has seven PDF files. These are JC's four books, Wagner's two Critiques, and Perpetual Motion by Percy Verance.
With a simple entry of word or phrase, then a click of the mouse, all seven PDF books get searched. Thus if someone says that Bessler wrote about "bells", then in less than a minute, I can show where "bells" was written and who wrote it.
The word "bell" appears twice in DT, both in the copy of a letter written by J.P. Kuchenbecker, Student of Philosophy.
The word "bell" appears once GB, in reference to "bell manufacture".
The word "bells" appears once in DT, again in reference to the letter written by J.P. Kuchenbecker, Student of Philosophy.
The word "bells" appears twice in PM-AAMS, and they refer to bells hit with hammers depicted in a drawing. These were written by John Collins.
So it seems that Bessler NEVER wrote about "bells". I have no idea what the bells were that Clyde was talking about. And when I tried to question Clyde as to where these phases came from, he blew me off as if to say why don't you know these things.
I would like to find a PDF copy of Frank Edwards short story about Bessler's wheel, so that I can also search it for words or phrases. Then when someone makes a claim the Bessler said something, it might be that they are quoting Frank Edwards' fiction.
And I should include the MT text in PDF form. so any search will include such.

When I finished reading the above quote, and before Tarsier replied, I clicked back to GD and there were three members browsing GD. Clyde, Jim_Mich and myself. I sat here waiting for Jim_Mich to wade in... but nothing happened. Just found it a bit strange for Jim_Mich.
Clyde made the claim that he had been locked out of the forum yesterday. I did a quick check and told him that though his reputation had fallen to one red dot, he had not been banned or locked out.
It would be interesting to know if two members are never on the forum at a same time. This could be an indication that they are sock puppets. Or are sharing a common computer. Or just coincidence.

I do apologize for the typo.
Now that that is cleared up, how does that change anything.
I am also puzzled at why a conversation Clyde has told me was private, has been posted publicly.
Trust is a tricky thing.
I do hope everyone is having a nice day, we sure are watching the waves. Lake Michigan is always awesome.

The forum software sometimes has glitches. I don't know why. I almost always save a copy of any post before hitting the submit button, just in case something goes wrong. And from time to time Scott takes the forum off-line to make changes to the software. He did this when he reset the reputation system. But Clyde made the claim that the forum would not let him post. The implication was that he was being blocked for some reason. And I expressed that I thought it was just some sort of (temporary) glitch.

Are you saying that he still can not post? Clyde has not posted here since two days ago. He was on the forum less than ten minutes ago.bluej wrote:He can log on, but not post. It's probably a glitch

So his last name is Barrows? As in Clyde Barrows of Bonnie and Clyde who was shot in a police ambush in Louisiana just a little south of where I live.
