Instead of creating these hooks I simply tied one weight to the inner position of a slot to have the same effect. Yesterday I was in a rush not seeing the issue, simple physics. The inner wheel moves to the left so any gained torque will be canceled.

Hi Raj,

with what I can make of this design, each rolling weight will need many sets of different bearings, this is because there is a clash of movements of the various positions, and without these bearing it would be very high in friction, just like a ramp pushing up cross bars via roller weights that I built many years ago, it was a total friction lock even with bearings, mainly due to the clash of force vectors.

Your above drawing does not show all the force vectors at the weights different positions and although I think it will run more smoothly that the ramp designs I still cannot see there being enough force of the out of balance being enough to lift the weight back up the slot. There is other stuff you may have overlooked as well, such as the moving the weight up at the outer rim means that any negative force that happen there will have a higher negative leverage value back to the axle, IMO.

Thank you for putting it up for view!

I am not GULLIBLE!!!

In this silent but deep competition of self-achievement of being first finding our elusive wheel, prevailing on this forum, I don't see any forum member wishing me or anybody else to succeed.

On the contrary, I suspect deliberate attempts to side-tract you or me if ever we find ourselves for once on to something out of the box.

Comments are almost always harping negative, seldom constructive.

So I jolly well continue on with my designs regardless.

This one looks a lighter and better build, but lacks precision in build.
Still showing positive signs of concept.

Yeah, have to confirm it's a really nice build. As I can see from the last photo there're 2 thin cords for holding back the weights on the left side. So have you already solved the mechanical task for engaging and disengaging the weights?

I am planning to market my Patent Pending Auto Hamster Gravity Wheel as a Desktop Wheel Toy, just like Newton Cradle toy.

Once it gets to the market, I shall grant a minimum of 5% (five percent ) of first five years net annual profit TO SCOTT.

Lack of expertise and facilities and materials means LACK OF PRECISION, in build.

All I need now, is to find four suitable rolling weights to confirm proof of concept.
