Hi.
I do not understand something .. You told me that the black structure is fixed and only the blue structure is the one that moves. How will the deceleration of the black structure be calculated if it is fixed?
ANSWER 1
Before the moving blue structure to enter the segment S the black structure is motionless (not fixed), but it lies on a smooth horizontal plane/table and can slide on it without friction. When the blue structure enters the segment S then the blue structure decelerates and the black structure accelerates sliding without friction on the smooth horizontal plane table. When the blue structure exits the segment S then both the blue structure and the black structure move with uniform velocities as the black structure slides without friction on the horizontal smooth table/plane.

I'm preparing the animation but I need exact details. (You are asking: Is this separation necessary? Or it is only illustrative?)
ANSWER 2.
It is only illustrative.

Hi Georg,
Welcome in our team of enthusiasts. Sounds interesting that simulation of swinging of a chain with springs which generates selfsustaining oscillation. Could you send us some more information about this?
Best regards,
George

re: IS THIS A REACTIONLESS DRIVE OR A PERPETUAL MOTION MACHI
Hi George1,
under the link you passed to us there is an example with chain of spings.
https://www.myphysicslab.com/springs/ch ... gs-en.html
I changed the parameter of Diff Eq Solver to Eulers Method.
Then I took one weight in the middle an lift it up some distance and let it go.
I got an un dampen oscillation.
You an prove it yourself.
Lift a weight in the middle and wait some seconds.

Hi Julio,
Hi dear friend,
You haven't written to us for a long time. Any progress related to the simulation? Please ask questions, if any.
Looking forward to your answer.
Best regards,
George

Hi Georg,
The chain simulation you have done is much more complex and sophisticated than the experiments described in the two related links
https://mypicxbg.files.wordpress.com/20 ... _01-12.pdf
https://mypicxbg.files.wordpress.com/20 ... s01-08.pdf
Therefore you are also an expert. Then would you be so polite to join Julio and help him to complete the simulation?
Looking forward to your answer.
