re: Two wheels on a single axle...
Hi Raj,
with your concept you are right,
I hope you can complete it with your tools when you are back to your island.
you know that I have a concept of a 2 Meter weel still waiting to complete,
when I have seen your concept I had to overthink my version.
But I still see similars from your and my wheel in the movement.
Now i have learnt that we can also build it small, but then with the help of an spring.

Yes Georg, I know your wheel concept and mine have things in common.
For one thing, both your concept and mine are using wheels in wheels.
My best wishes to you.

This post is directed towards the member who has demoted me.
My reputation has gone down on this forum, from two two dots to one dot.
Most likely I am about to be banned from this forum, because what I am showing and posting are making you enviously and jealously unhappy.
I repeat, what I have been saying lately.I am on my last wheel concept and last months on thid forum, till the end of this year.
So tell Scott to deregister me from this forum, if he will.

What's a dot worth ?
If you or I or anyone who regularly posts or is a PMM enthusiast and posts occasionally its the forums loss. Sadly it seems like their are very few posts/discussions lately let alone good I informative and or constructive posts lately. Which is very sad because I find the road we ( and bessler) traveled can be a very lonely road. Few people in (my) everyday life have any desire or knowledge or any of the necessary insight to find the value in a passion we all share.
I have read many of your posts and although I rarely comment feel they are always In good faith, constructive and informative. I however am on a different train of thought currently so our ideas seem to be rather far apart for the moment but I always enjoy your posts.

Hi raj,
I added the second dot (or contributed to it). I think it is excellent that you are sharing your ideas and looking for feedback.
Feedback is probably what the wheel needs to keep rotating!
Years ago I spent too much time and stress working on the wheel. I got cancer twice (one very serious) and often wonder whether the failure to find the solution back then contributed to the cancer. It is like if the human body can't resolve an issue or is under stress then cancer is more likely. Who knows.
Now I potter, am working very slowly on a build. Family and work come first and I feel guilty when my wife has to mind the kids as I work on the wheel.
It can take me a year or more to get a design built and modifications are endless.
I am waiting to see what John Collins shows us on the 6th of June to see if I am on the right track. I'm probably not looking at my past experience. But it is a hobby that keeps my mind being creative.
Best of luck raj.

re: Two wheels on a single axle...
Looking at my drawing again and the PHYSICS MODEL, can you see the wheels rotating, at least one revolution?

re: Two wheels on a single axle...
Hi Raj,
the formulas which are presented are not that what is going on in the wheel.
So the formula does not match with reality.
The formulas does not take into account that the complete down hanging wheels are also working as an pendulum when doing the load transfer.
Therefore you get an overlay of two swingings. The pendulum swing and the swing of the rotating weights in the wheel, an sum up.
So let the formulas adapt. Its complex, I know, to overlay the swinging.
But maybe you can describe the swingings better to the guy which had helped you. This additional swinging is missing in the formula.
One wave is carrying the other !!
From the function it is an amplitude amplifier.

re: Two wheels on a single axle...
All those following this thread will surely see some further improvement in my current wheels and weights concept.
This time the weights on the two wheels, have the wheels gear ration of 4:1 instead of the previous drawing where the wheels gearing ratio was 2:1.
And, we have weights with the same hooking system, and the weights on the ascending side rise from the 6 0'clock position to the 12 o'clock position in one swoop.

re: Two wheels on a single axle...
Is the smaller wheel attached directly to the larger wheel?
If so i dont see how they will have enough energy to lift themselves up.

re: Two wheels on a single axle...
I am ALMOST 100% confident that this, my final Self-Rotating (AUTOMATIC)
wheel concept WlLL work.
I am working on it everyday for the past 6 months.
I have bought and taking with me from Uk back to Mauritius, the important parts of my next concept testing prototype built attempt.
I am going back home in two weeks.

I am back home in Mauritius this morning.
This is my last post here.
My next post may not ever come, except one last, If GOD so will.
But I'll be visiting this forum, as I have done for years.
Farewell friends,

re: Two wheels on a single axle...
I am proceeding with my wheel concept testing build attempt.
I have hit a snag with the build.
I need urgent help:
Does anybody know how to connect two wheels so that they both rotate in the same direction, either clockwise or counter-clockwise, WITHOUT using any gearing teeth or pulley belts?
Remember : One wheel has to rotate twice as fast as the other, as a SPEED DOUBLER mechanism.
I am waiting for your answers.
Thank you.
Raj

re: Two wheels on a single axle...
I am having problems with my wheel concept build attempts since my return from UK.
Problem with choosing the right speed doubler mechanism, on top of swinging weights getting entangled, when using more than two weights.
This problems can be resolved by increasing the width of the drum wheel, at the cost of increasing greatly friction, which would make the concept definitely unworkable, with too much frictional loss on gears or pulleys and increase in combined mass of wheel systems.
I want to keep the overall mass of the wheels system low, and reduce frictional loss to bear minimum.
On my return home, I began to find if there was a way to have a speed doubler mechanism which does not require any gearing or pulleys which are known to produce high frictional loss, something that I do not want.
After lots of trial and error drawings, I found a way to achieve this speed doubler mechanism, and carried out some physical modelling.
IT WORKS.
No gears and no pulleys/belts, and two wheels, one can rotate twice as fast as the other, rotation ratio 2:1
I have been checking online for the last week, if what I have found is already publicly known. I found nothing similar online.
I, then, thought of checking on this forum and found nothing on search. Checked on MTS, and still nothing similar found except ONE Bessler CLUE in a strange place.
I googled this clue online, and came to a site about old inventions where I think Bessler may have found his inspiration.
I want to assure myself that what I have found is not in public domain already, before posting details of my newly found mechanism on this forum.
With this new speed doubler mechanism, my wheel concept looks more achievable.
