No not about the Jacobs ladder but the pictures Fletcher put up.

A Jacobs ladder is not falling faster than gravity is it?

Pour ma part, j'y vois un effet syphon de réservoir,
mais pas de ré-indexage possible!

For my part, I see a syphon effect of reservoir,
but no re-indexing possible!

The edge of it is. The COM isn't.

I'm not sure speed will get us to a prime mover. If it would, the low path on the marble run would lead us to it too?

Hi daxwc, this looks like a race between mostly gravity with some mechanical forces verses mostly mechanical forces with some gravity and the latter won. Its interesting and I think all interesting things should be studied a lot closer.

There seems to be a crossover between the falling ladder paradox and the mould effect in the animation ?

But what force will drive if the weights don't lose height(fall) though , are you implying perhaps a special use case for the normal force or something else , for example the mould effect ? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_dQJBBklpQQ , https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qTLR7FwXUU4 .

Or more directly , how or by what means do you suppose could the force of gravity possibly be used other than losing height(falling) ?

"what might the principle be?"
More BS. What I said was wrong. Seams like no mater what, the weight has to be falling. All I can say is the rolling weight is different then lifting and dropping weights. I suggested weight less ness but that probably isn't right either.

Any time I've tried to shift weights out on the down side, It's like your are always trying to catch up with the wheel and the weights weren't driving sh*t!! I'm a dumb ass, OK. I don't know how to explain it, to any one on this forum but, the rollers are different.

They are very positive. It seams like, If you just touch them the wheel will turn----------------Sam

the rollers are different.
Sorry Sam, they still conform to normal weight movement in a gravity environment, just like any other weight. So, not so different.

Don't worry, in the past I have investigated the heavy roller, just like Bessler has in MT. And I feel they are a good analogue for hydro-static pressures on bellows rotating around in a submerged environment (also shown in MT).

Ultimately, A "PM" gravity wheel is about energy. Does it take the same energy to lift a weight as the weight can give back to the wheel? As soon as the answer becomes no, then you have your answer.

Sam , its a quote from Wed Oct 18, 2023 2:24 pm where I had 2 youtube links in which I wanted to post to Fletcher but I did not want to go find them on youtube so I quoted where I already in the past had them on here.

For the purposes of concise communication, instead of giving coordinates for us to find a post, can you click on the double-quote link at the top right of the targeted post. then copy and paste the generated text? That would include a link that goes directly to the post. Including the time gets us in the general area, but all of us are in different time zones. I would ask the same for web links so we can go directly to what you are referring to. I am not trying to pick on anyone at all, but I am just trying to help with communication. These are just suggestions.

When you see the quotes that people post here, there is an arrow to the right of where it says, for example, "Sam Peppiatt wrote:" which is a link directly to the post of the quote.

I want to add that explanations of web links are also helpful, because weblinks do not necessarily last forever, and it can make old threads hard to understand if there is a broken link only without a description. Now I have to make sure that I take my own advice.
