Hi,
For Centuries, people have endeavoured to find the design key that would unlock the secret to mechanical self-sustaining rotary motion.
As you are all aware, I returned to this board to unburden myself of a discovery that I originally made in 2014, after a traumatic brain injury, that being The Dynamic Lever, which I propose is, potentially the missing 4th Class of Lever .
That 'extra weight' present in this new leverage class, unlocked many designs for me, that embodied the principles of dynamic leverage. One aspect of which, was that if you fracture the balanced condition into its constituent planes, there was a tappable mechanical advantage to be had.
Indeed, I propose, with absolute certainty now, that this is what internally drove Bessler's wheel around.
If you look at the attached screenshot, I show geometric empirical evidence that if you pry apart the balance planes, using thefall of the weighted lever, as the (gravity switch), this moves the distal weight to a radial position greater than the fixed proportionate radius counter weight(s).
This cyclical one sided, radial extension , from one or more such arrangements, induces, internal driven, rotation.
It is this difference, that made perpetual motion possible by Bessler in the 17th Century.
Best wishes,
Chris Harper

Re: The Key to Perpetual Motion
Sorry Chris. I still do not see any key to perpetual motion here.
While there is radial movement of the red weight, There is also equivalent radial movement of the COM of the other 2 weights equal to your extending weight. That is why There is balance, but there is no imbalance in this design.
Every parent thinks its baby is beautiful. Sometimes they aren't.
