I used a program called "Interactive Physics". I bought some physics books for college, and it was on one of the disks.

I think I saw some people on the forum mention Working Model 2d. This is by the same company (and looks almost exactly like the same software, just a different name).

It is the same thing, you can even exchange files between them. All you have to do is to change the file extension. So you can load all the published examples here on the board :)
Change *.wm2d to *.ip ( is it ip?, you get the idea)

Welcome to the forum and search for perpetual motion!
The animation was nicely done. Bessler's writings state that nothing can be accomplished by the rolling balls concepts. However, I'm open minded. When I saw your animation, my first thought was to install some little light spring latch stops along the track the balls roll on. The ball rocking back and forth seems to keep the wheel from moving a step forward.
However, if you gave it one hard spin, that would overcome the need for latches and the faster movement would keep the balls from rocking back. If it were out of balance, it would just keep moving.
Check out Bessler's MT drawings. There are some very similar that indicate the concept has been tested before.
