There's no need to feel you out for weakness. It's staring everyone in the face with this absurd allegation I would attempt to access files on your system I'm not authorized to. That libelous charge is a form of criminal trespass.

Given the risk of prosecution vs. any reward I could gain from such petty juvenile behavior makes it clear to reasonable people how absurd this is. The weakness is in your false accusation. I have too much to lose for that nonsense. The risk/reward is close to infinity.

Don't blame me for your behavior. It's clear who's being abused.

And who is Gene?

I am optimistic. My models seem to be getting closer to matching descriptions of eyewitnesses. I'm pretty sure I understand how the parts were crossing over each other, and other sounds (chattering) occurred.

The idea is simple.
Set up a balanced system that has a part (weight) that's ready to fall. Push it very little and it does fall, bringing the next weight into position.

Don't give up fella's!

Good plan Ben,

I'd be very interested to know the mechanics involved in your theory, could you post a drawing?

I've read your posts and they all sound like they were written by a man.

Nice try.

The internet is an impersonal means of communication Wiki. Sometimes the only perception of gender is the content of posts. Would you prefer me to talk of knitted wheels? Or perhaps a Bessler recipe or two? Do you think that OU is a man's domain only? Or should I make wheel drawings then embroider them?

At least I use my own real name and not some silly 'handle' to hide behind. If you have taken the trouble to view my profile you will find a link to my personal homepage, there are photos of both me and my husband.

You will also find monthly magazines of the association I am president of, there's even a photo of me in one of them presenting a cheque for 1000€ which we raised for a local Doctor's charity.

I don't see anything in your profile that tells me you are a man or a woman. It doesn't matter to me anyway as I've read all of your posts and they sound like they were written by a half-wit.

Nice response to the other half-wit Debbie. I wonder if we put two half-wits together would we have a full-wit, or is that just being optimistic :D

Debbie,

I do not believe your reply to wikiwheel is "off Topic" sounds pretty optimistic to me. I have viewed you home page and other links you are responsible for. I only wish I understood programing and HTML 1/2 the degree to do what you have accomplished.

I plain flat refuse to pay heed to any input by phone or private e-mail unless the member is willing to disclose full name, location and a little occupational background.

Being optimistic is being what you are and proud of it! Hiding behind an aka spells nothing but a pessimistic attitude. If you got something to hide then hide it elsewhere. The lame duck excuse that somebody may hack your computer because of your real name, is what I consider a joke.

Hi Debbie!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thank you for your quick response. BTW. Where did I say that you were a man? I was commenting on the quality of the posts. I don't doubt that a woman can sound like a man when writing!! e.g. "I've read all of your posts and they sound like they were written by a half-wit."

PS, sorry this is off topic Scott, but I felt I had to answer the unpleasant comment.

You are fantastic. Nothing I like more than a woman that will speak her mind and stand her ground.

This is a forum, not a phone or email.

A person’s name is irrelevant to their attitude. There is no relationship.

There is a difference between ‘lame’ and ‘lame duck’. I never made the point that a system could be hacked if someone knew your name. Aside from the fact it’s none of your business, it’s irrelevant to the discussion. What is lame is stating lame points for someone. That is indeed a joke. I never made the point. I did say some administrators have attempted to load dos applications on my computer. The point is people sometimes don’t understand where the lines are between what is theirs and what isn’t. Or at least they’re willing to act ignorant.

Ralph,

Are you saying you wouldn't use an idea unless you knew whose idea it was?
