"I don't want to go into the details here of how suddenly the excess weight is caused to rise. You can't comprehend these matters, or see how true craftsmanship can rise above innate lowly tendencies (as does a weight above the point of application of a lever)" – AP pg 357

I think one can argue a point or two here on interpretation , for example , how suddenly the excess weight is caused to rise - exclamation being on "how" or "suddenly" and important point being on "caused to rise", "how" -> what method , "how suddenly" -> what speed , "caused to rise" -> raised/lifted .

I don't think the "speed" for "suddenly" is the point of the sentence , since it is the "how" 's details he is not sharing , followed up by "You can't comprehend these matters , or see how true craftsmanship can rise above innate lowly tendencies" .

Because Wagner argues to Bessler on about showing the impossibility by giving an impossible example as an argument , clearly he then cant comprehend these matters , since Wagner is off on a tangent trying impossible things and then makes the argument "therefore Bessler is wrong" ,and clearly he cant then understand how ingenuity can create solutions - just like ingenuity of the lever , for example in its usage overcomes the load on one end with effort on the other end , not by doing impossible things.

One may try impossible things as much as one like the result will be the same , "your effort will be in vain " .
