The idea of pseudo radial displacement is to avoid angular displacements not compensated at the oposé so that there is no difference in the number of weights acting in relation to the direction of gravity force that divides the wheel in two.
I don’t know if I understood your request correctly?

La version roue motrice intérieure ne fournie pas assez de couple pour lever les quatre poids de distribution au rapport 1/2.
les poids ne pouvant pas passer les uns au dessus des autres aucun autre rapport n'est possible, ou il faudrait un couple de sortie égal au couple d'entrée pour une vitesse double.

Je passe à la version inverse, roue extérieure motrice

The inner drive wheel version does not provide enough torque to lift the four distribution weights to the 1/2 ratio.
No other ratio is possible, or an output torque equal to the input torque for a double speed.

I switch to the reverse version, outer wheel drive

I think you have the right Idea! You need one roller,( it's weight has no effect on the balance), to shift the other one, that drives the wheel. I going to try the same thing but, with pairs-----------------------Sam

Je partage cet arrangement car j'ai changé le jouet qui était central dans ma recherche:
Le centre de la page jouets met en évidence les forgerons et les mineurs, la chaine et le Lazytong deviennent accessoires.
J'ai fait un montage sur votre idée de rouleaux pour donner une impulsion pour provoquer un déséquilibre.
Le principe de montage doit être symétrique donc doublé.
Je ne sais pas si la roue peut être fonctionnelle!!!!?

I made a montage on your idea of rollers to give an impulse to cause an imbalance.
The mounting principle must be symmetrical, therefore doubled.
I don’t know if the wheel can be functional!!!?

Hi Shadow .. they don't have a surplus of torque because of INERTIA, imo ..

e.g. a typical/generic example of a heavy roller mass enclosed in ring guide - pushing or pulling on a SB with smaller unbalancing end mass attached .. etc ..

Take just one mechanism - the heavy roller mass has a lot of inertia as it rotates in its ring guide - the SB and unbalancing end mass has much less inertia ..

It is obviously possible to rotate the setup so that the roller mass extends or contracts the end mass ..

BUT .. the roller mass does not follow the same positional path when it is free to move and doing no work - as soon as it must do work (shifting the end mass) inertia's come into focus - the roller (and its COM) is held up for a while (lag) .. IOW's the two inertia's work against each other so that there is no surplus positive torque and it will always keel ..
