more on pendulum /weights

Post by wheelrite »

lordy...lots of replies(thankx all)
I dont think the pendulum weight with bob weight was in my thinking , more , say, well I think the pendulum weight was a cylinder with a thro' hole bored longwise ,or a turned 'doornob' shape on each end enabling the weight to run/roll in tracks or be picked up/put down by forks/cord, the 'linkage' being impermenant(?) or intermittant in the rotation of the whole wheel(very noisy). I reckon the other weight is a smaller version cylinder OR a smaller 'true' pendulum. There would be a fair bit of 'wandering' going on in here...
maybe the 'upward' motion of the large weight has something to do with meeting/rolling on the radius of the 'curved boards' mentioned by some count(er.....no comment)
end of rant.....probably all rubbish....
thanks for your time
regardz
