Just noticed something yesterday. In the drawing labelled "Perpetuum Mobile Martisburg &c &c", right side of the drawing. The pendulum is tilted down on the right side. The weights at the top of the "T" bar on the pendulum are different.
The tilted-down weight on the right side is half the thickness of the left side weight.
BUT....take a good look (zoom in) on the left-hand weight. Why does it appear to have a seam on the end? Upon closer examining, it appears here as being two round cylinders instead of the square, as appears the weight on the right side, and the seam
looks like two radii together, like laying two pipes next to each other.
Could these be the "cylindrical weights" that Wolff and others spoke of?
Regards to all
