Progress?

So, is anybody making any progress on their machines?

I saw Oystein got pulled away by "social events". It's tough to
be a mad scientist when beer beckons.

I am working some more on my machine this weekend. I have been
drafting out designs and building test model pieces so that I
don't screw up my proto-type.

I'll be picking up a digital camera over the next month, so I
hope to have photo's to show.

Question: When you all attempt to explain "your" model designs
to other people (friends, family, strangers), do you get a
vacant stare (no expression) in return? I find it so strange
that many people are not remotely interested in this stuff. It's
as if you are speaking a foreign language to them and they don't
understand a single word. What causes us to have this "drive"
and for others to be uninterested?

For the scientific, I would expect that they default to what they
have been taught, which is "this is impossible" so why waste
their time thinking about it. But for people that aren't well
versed in science, shouldn't they be slightly excited by the
possibility?

I look forward to hearing everyones progress! Get out there and
make it happen! I'll do my part.

Derek
