Well, I know the one-line summaries of their principles, but not the 'full versions'.:-)
As for the 'reactionless drive', here's a link posted a while ago to the board that certainly seems to show quit simply why it need NOT break the laws of physics:
http://www.montalk.net/newton/newton.html
Basically, the argument is that if the action is linnear, and the reaction is angular(spin)then you have the formula for an innertial drive. It sure convinced me.:-)
: : Aaarrgggghhhh-that's IT, I'm looking up his three laws on line and taking a copy home to pour over.:-D
:
: You mean you don't know them by heart? Shame on you :-)
:
: : Is it perhaps the 'action/reaction' one, the same one really does allow reaction propulsion to work 'legally'?
:
: Now see, that's a perfect example of an invention that breaks a law of the universe... therefore I seriously doubt their claim.
:
: : How's your design coming, by the way? You're sure keeping us in suspense about it; what a dramatist!*Starts grumbling to himself*:-D
:
: Errk... I was wondering when someone would ask...
: I'm not having problems with the design or the principle, but computers in general suck and life has a way of throwing too much crap at you right when you need to be left alone.
: While working on the sim my computer started to politely tell me that I was out of memory. Apparently Working Model 2D runs entirely on RAM and not on swap space so your model complexity if seriously limited by physical RAM.
: Well, I now am the proud owner of a new Dell Inspiron 8500 (which I'm typing on now :-) with a 2.5 Ghz P4 and GIG of RAM! but it's taken me a few days to rebuild it (wiped XP off there as soon as it arrived). So... I'm a little behind schedule. I do apologize but that's why I broadcast that completion date... I was hoping the extra pressure from youz guys would encourage me to not slack off... it's working :-)
: Later!
