Your nephew is right, I will not be able to read the proprietary WinFlow CAD filetype without installing and running the program myself.

Ideally, you can find an "Export..." feature of some sort in your CAD program, then you can export the image as a GIF, JPG, BMP, TIFF, etc... just about any open, standard image file type will do. You can also try "Save As..." and see what filetypes are available.

: I'm new to your very interesting site (and a bit new to all things PC). If I want to post some drawings, which CAD package should I use. I got a free one off the net called WinFlow but my young nephew said you would only be able to open this if you also had this program. I would be grateful if anyone could advise me.
: PS I believe Bessler's machine worked. The clue is that he was a clockmaker, but not because he understood gears......
