: : MrTim
: What is YOUR problem, MrTim? Crackpots who believe in perpetual motion? Crackpots who believe that a Scam artist who lived hundreds of years ago discovered the secret of perpetual motion, and that all of the scientists in the world are too stupid to see the truth? Well, the world agrees with you. These Crackpots are being ignored, and someday they may be all dead with no one to replace them. Perhaps THAT will make you happy.
: Lurker.
Wow!
Then I guess I must be a 'problem', as I am one of those 'crackpots' (as you so lovingly call them) that happens to believe in the Bessler wheel. I, like many others, come to this site (1) for it's content (which is excellent I must say), and (2) because it takes the subject (Bessler's wheel) seriously.
If you don't believe in the wheel (for whatever reason), then fine. Your opinion has been noted. It's okay to be skeptical, despairing even, but don't try to change OUR minds. It's been tried before (go read through the archives) but it hasn't stopped any of us.
And it won't.
If anything, YOUR antics are counter-productive, especially to those who approach the Bessler phenomena with an open mind. Whenever the words "aliens", "conspiracy", "men in black" (or whatever!) enter in the context of a discussion, they tune out, no matter what the merits of the case. Who's going to take something seriously after that?
****You do ALL of the people on this board a disservice by bringing up this garbage.****
Mainstream science would open it's mind a little more if it wasn't for the 'taint' that people (like you) give to obscure (and deserving of research) subjects.
Apparently you want attention too, which is why you are being so inflammatory. If I want to engage in a 'flame war', there are other sites where I can go to do just that. I won't do it here. And out of respect for Scott, I have tempered my response. I won't give you the satisfaction of ENJOYING the trouble you want to start up. And if you didn't understand the context of the Oz quote, let me put it in simple King's English: 'Lurker should be ignored'.
You should be ignored, and that is the course of action I am going to take. I would encourage others to do the same. Unless you have something relevant or worth responding to, I am not going to bother with your foolishness. You crave attention, and will go to any lengths to get it. I am not going to be your 'enabler'.
