Corrections: Cowlishaw->Cowlishaw wheel, rest->rests
: This is the first of the series of pictures and descriptions to describe the working of the Cowlishaw as I understand it. First is this picture where all I really say is that angular acceleration is equal to 2gcos(theta)/(3r) and the linear acceleration is the angular acceleration times the radius, which is equal to 2gcos(theta)/3. I know this is pretty basic, but everything else I say rest pretty much only on this.
