Hi John;
Thanks, I should have asked you first but it was kind of fun using the Micro fiche, felt a bit like Indiana Jones.
From 1715 Page 46 the last paragraph.
From 1717 Page 92 a snippit at the end of the first paragraph.
From 1718 Pages 497 and 498 I think this is the large one with which we are all familiar but I am not sure, maybe you can confirm. Curious about the phrases "motum ponderis 70 librarum" and there is a date of '31 Octobris.'

thanks--Patrick

: Patrick you should have asked me instead of going to all that trouble. I have copies of all the relevant papers including Acta Eruditorum and its translations. What bits do you want translated?

: John Collins

: : Hi all;
: : I was able to get access to a copy of Acta Eruditorum, and for some reason I thought it would be in German. Latin, yikes! Can anyone recommend a good Latin-English translator, hopefully free. I don't want to waste time doing what has already been done but I thought it may provide some extra insight to check the original texts. I currently have quotes from 1715, 1717 and 1718 that mention 'perpetui mobilis'. I am out of luck with Babel Fish Translator.
: : thanks--Patrick
