Hi All,
On Bessler's so called 'toys page', (MT138 at http://www.orffyre.com/mt121-143.html) there are 5 illustrations labeled A to E.
E is obvious, so too is C & D. But A & B remain a little more mysterious. I've heard A & B referred to as a 'Jacobs Ladder', but I have my doubts about this because the depicted hinge points are not how a Jacobs Ladder works (a Jacobs Ladder typically uses fabric straps fixed around the segments) .
If A & B are front and side elevations of the same device or toy, then what is that Bessler trying to illustrate here? Any suggestions?
